Elizabeth Scott Bednarz, wonderful mother and wife, died peacefully at home on July 25, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She died surrounded by the love of her family and friends, and she is now at peace and free of pain.

 

A rosary will be held for Elizabeth Scott Bednarz at Englund Funeral Home in Slaton, Texas, at 7 p.m. on July 27, 2007.  Funeral services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lubbock at 10 a.m., July 28, 2007.

 

“Iz”, “Eli”……(she had so may nicknames), was such an amazing friend, sister, wife, mother and daughter.  She had a zest for life, always ready for anything and always willing to be a helping hand.  Her smile was radiant.   The support of friends and family throughout her battle was a reminder to us all that she touched everyone’s life with whom she came in contact.  Even near death, Elizabeth said, “I am so grateful”.  The realization of those words was how grateful we all were to have had her in our lives.

 

We would like to thank all the friends and family who have supported Elizabeth.  They have been a true blessing.  In addition, we would like to thank Hospice of Lubbock for their care and love throughout her last days.
